I’m based in Bunbury, WA and compete in bull riding. Rodeo has been part of my life from a young age, and it’s something I’ve always been drawn back to — the challenge, the lifestyle and the people.

The Story

My dad used to take me to rodeos when I was a kid, and I fell in love with everything about it.

Bull riding was always the event that pulled me in — I’d spend my time getting on anything that moved, trying to mimic riding a bull.

In my early teens, my dad got horses and that’s where I really learnt to ride. I spent countless hours in the paddock, learning everything I could. Western riding became my preference, especially with my dad being into cutting.

I chose Double R Western because it’s a growing brand with a strong future, and it feels like being part of a team that’s built like a family.

What’s on the horizon

This year I’m focused on getting on my bulls, doing my best and helping others do the same. I’d also like to start stepping into a new event - saddle bronc.

Both — I work FIFO, so I’m used to working days and nights.

Something Most People Wouldn’t Know

My nickname at work is “Squirrel”.

And my favourite animal (besides horses) is giraffes.
