Brand Ambassadors

Over the course of each year, we are so lucky to meet some incredible people along our way. These inspirational people embody the RR philosophy that !

Angela Whelan

Hello😊

I’m Angela but most call me Ang! I live just out of Pinjarra an hour south of Perth with my husband Gerard and daughter Bryanna with our too many ponies and dog.

I have grown up around and with horses my whole life getting my first pony at a
young age and was lucky enough to have learnt all I could with her. 🐴❤️

You will generally find me in and around the rodeo arena with the odd show jumping arena too. If I’m not at an event, you’ll find me in an arena teaching far and
wide within my little family business Hoofprints Equestrian.

Teaching is where I was lucky enough to meet Shivaun and her beautiful family and get to help grow the kiddlets love and passion for ponies.

To be a part of such a beautiful brand I feel incredibly honored, and to have seen it from the start makes it even more special.

Thank you for this opportunity, Rodeo Rose Boutique ❤️🌹

Izzy Hosken-Collard

Hey! I’m Izzy Hosken-Collard and I am a Rodeo Rose ambassador; I have been an ambassador since RR launched in 2023 and I can’t wait to continue on this Journey!!

A little bit about myself, I’m 14 years old and I am obsessed with everything Horse, Barrel racing and Turquoise. I’m the oldest child in my family, along with my two younger siblings! I have two horses Otis and Belle; I started out barrel racing on Otis, who is a Polish Arab and we’ve been working together since my first Barrel Clinic in 2023. We recently got Belle, my beautiful bay Quarter Horse mare and I’ve just started training and racing on her as well. Belle is 11 and Otis is 18, my little sister Charlotte is using as her lead line pony, and he will hopefully be her barrel pony (he’s still my horse). Otis and I won our first paycheck at a barrel race at the end of 2023 and I couldn’t have been prouder of us!!

My goals for when I’m older are to become an Equine Vet or just a Vet in general and to get to compete in the NFR (National Finals Rodeo)!

My biggest pieces of advice are to do your best, try everything, don’t let others put you down or make you feel bad about doing or thinking what you do, do what you love and never give up!!

Rodeo Rose Australia has given me the chance to make some awesome friends meet some great people and look pretty stylish while doing it!

Taylor Haddleton

Hey everyone!

I’m Taylor Haddleton, a 17-year-old from the beautiful town of Albany, Western Australia. I just finished Year 11 and am getting ready to dive into Year 12! Alongside my studies, I’m working on a Certificate IV in Preparation for Nursing because I have big dreams of joining the Navy after school.

When I’m not studying or working, I’m barrel racing with my amazing horse, Saff. I’m super lucky to get to borrow some fantastic horses too! I recently wrapped up the 2024 rodeo season at the Last Rodeo in Brunswick, and it was such an incredible experience!

One of my favorite things about barrel racing and rodeo is seeing all the excited newcomers. It’s so inspiring to watch them jump right in, and I think it’s really important to support and encourage everyone. Every rider, no matter their experience level, helps grow our sport. By creating a friendly atmosphere, we can make sure everyone feels welcome in the rodeo and barrel racing community.

As I gear up for my final year of high school, I’m really excited about what the future holds for both my education and my riding career. Balancing school and barrel racing can be tough, but it’s such a rewarding journey that teaches me a lot about determination and perseverance.

I feel so blessed to have been part of the RR ambassador team from the very beginning, and I'm grateful for the amazing friendship we've built along the way.

Kim Piper- Reeves

Hello,

My name is Kim Piper-Reeves,

I began my barrel racing journey in October 22 at the Apex Spring Fling. We came second in 4D and I was instantly hooked!

Fast forward to Jan 24 " Absolutely Aurasome Darlin’ and I came 1st place in 2D winning my first buckle and a gorgeous saddle.

I'm very lucky to be married to an amazing man, who is extremely supportive and understanding. His unwavering support is even more amazing when I consider his world view, that can be summed up with a simple yet profound phrase "Horses are money pits!" We live on our beautiful acreage in the southwest along with many animals, including my three mares, who will hopefully produce future barrel racing champions for me. (At least, that's our goal!!!)

My husband and I own a mixed martial arts club in Bridgetown where we coach kids, teens, and adults. We encourage confidence, determination and resilience. Inspiring young and old alike, to never give up and to work well under pressure. We say that you really got to be in it, to win it.  Competing in Mixed martials arts as an amateur and professional, I have learnt that it's never a loss, it's always a lesson. I bring this mentality with me in all areas of my life, including my new passion Barrel Racing, that I began at 46 yrs of age. The moral of the story is.... you're never too OLD to give something a go!

If I could give one bit of advice to anyone reading this, I would say, don't worry if you don't have the right saddle, or even the right horse. Just make sure you are wearing Double R Western Co, and you will do just fine...

Oh, and don't worry about what everyone else is doing, just have fun and compete against yourself. Whenever you ride into the arena, focus on doing better than your last run. That's what helps me every time I go into the arena, and it will help you too.

Since meeting Shivaun and her amazing brand, Double R Western Co, I don't go a day without wearing one of her fab caps, shirts, jumpers or jeans. All her merchandise is very comfortable and affordable. I feel so blessed to have become an ambassador for this brand!!

Ariana Rhodes

Hello!
My name is Ariana, and I'm 9 years old, proudly hailing from Lake Clifton. I began my riding journey at just 2 years old, and I've been fortunate to have my sisters' incredible horses to ride, especially during the time my horse was pregnant.

The year 2024 has been nothing short of thrilling for me. I've traveled to rodeos across Western Australia, and my horse, Eddie, and I have had some fantastic runs together. Thanks to his amazing performance, I've brought home some beautiful buckles, and I can truly say he’s the best horse ever!

I'm thrilled to share that I was awarded the 2024 Horsemanship Award at Apex Barrel Racing, where I was also gifted some stunning spurs from the prize sponsor Brandy Newton. Additionally, Eddie and I won the Overall Pee Wee Champion buckle, which has become a cherished addition to our collection.

Rodeo is my passion, and I absolutely love attending events with my family and friends. There's nothing quite like cheering for everyone competing in the arena!

Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity. I’m incredibly excited to be part of this journey!

Sara Shaw

My name is Sara and I’m 22yrs old.

I work on the mines for BHP as a machine operator and I've been around horses my whole life. I wasn’t born into the western world but always dreamed of being a part of it since watching the rodeos growing up, so I worked hard and built my dream life which I’m currently living in🥰

I never thought I’d be where I am today …training and breaking in my little QH x Paint “Akeelah” for the first time ever. It has been challenging but it’s been so rewarding, and I've had some pretty awesome people support me along the way❤️(you know who you are) xx

Won’t be long till she’s old enough and ready for us to get out there in the ring and chase some cans and maybe even get into roping some calves😉

I’m so happy and honored to be a part of the RR team and can’t wait to share these amazing products with people🥰

Kara Leech

Hi, my name is Kara I’m 23 and I’m from Brisbane Queensland. I’ve been riding horses since I was five and owned them since I was nine. I currently have six horses I started out in sporting, showjumping and eventing and have a soft spot for OTTBs. I have now decided to give rodeo a try with my new horse Montana.

When I’m not competing in local comps, I’m busy managing a riding school called Quarter Mile Ranch. Coaching is my passion and I’m so lucky to be able to have horses in my day-to-day life.

I’m so excited to be a part of the Rodeo Rose team.

Flynn Mccullough

My name is Flynn Mccullough, I’m 21 years old and I’m from Narrikup Western Australia, where I live & work on our property breeding beef cattle and a small number of bucking bulls with my partner Michaela and her father.
I’ve been competing at rodeos in Western Australia for 5 or so years riding bulls. When I was younger I started out riding calves/steers, I had a break for a good while and still found my way back into the sport!

I think what has me hooked on rodeo is putting my mental and physical to the test with trying to match the bulls move for move, there’s no feeling quite like it.
The mates you meet along the way, and just the entire atmosphere, I’m lucky to be a part of such a supportive sport where people are happy to lend a hand while competing against each other .

I’m absolutely stoked to represent Rodeo Rebel and can’t thank them enough for the help and support for this year !

Michaela Dunnet

My name is Michaela Dunnet. I am 26 years old and live in the deep south of Western Australia in Narrikup on a cattle property with my old boy and my partner Flynn Mccullough, who also rodeos; you have probably heard me on the sideline cheering him on!

Apologies for causing a racket, ha-ha!

I started Barrel Racing in 2020 in Western Australia Rodeo on my little Buckskin pony, Spirit! I stepped it up a notch in recent years with my boy Randi, who had a hunk of horsepower and knowledge of tin spinning behind him. I owe him the world for teaching me what I know today; he's one of a kind. Before
appearing in the Western Australia Rodeo scene, I was in North Queensland getting strapped to poddy calves by my older brothers before their events, Saddle Bronc & Open Bull Ride.

My favorite part of Rodeo is the challenge within yourself - pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, getting out of your head, getting out in that arena with your best mate and giving it your absolute best. To me, that's already a win; everything else is just a bonus!

I can't wait to represent Rodeo Rose and share the brand far and wide, and I am incredibly grateful to Shivaun for this special opportunity.

Heather Scott

Hey gorgeous girls, I’m Heather, a 19-year-old from the little town of Pinjarra in Western Australia. For the past 10 years, I’ve been immersed in the world of rodeo, and I had the incredible opportunity to attend the NFR in Tamworth in 2022. My passion for horses and love for animals runs deep, and I can’t wait to share that enthusiasm with you all. I’m so excited to be partnering with this fantastic company and showcasing their amazing products. You’ll definitely see me rocking their gear wherever I go, and I hope you are too! I’m excited about what the future holds for us with the amazing Rodeo Rose Team, so stay tuned for more updates!

Lani Small

Talking about goals is such a funny thing. Everyone has that big goal that's so huge and for the moment out of reach that you keep it locked away in your heart. But then again, I'm not like most people lol. Horses have been a large part of my life, but after having a break, first for kids and then cancer, I had to have a complete rethink. Prior, eventing had been everything to me, but coming back with a perimenopausal body riddled with issues in my core and add to that anxiety I'd never experienced before... and well that wasn't going to work out quite like I wanted. And so, the decision was made to move across into the western disciplines, first with my mare Chilli (Whizzel me a song) and now my green horse, Nuggie (Little Wimpys Dunit) After a little dabble in reining, I now have my sights firmly set on Ranch. To add to the challenge, our family also relocated from the East Coast to beautiful Western Australia. Along the way I started documenting my journey as a very ordinary forty something woman trying to return to the world of riding and somehow found a whole tribe of women with Late To Bloom Cowgirl. A place that I share the good, the bad and the ugly and anything I find interesting along the way. So what is that big ticket dream?... Well in 2026 I hope to be accepted to compete at The Australia's Greatest Horsewoman's Event in the Rookie Division held in Victoria. This is such a huge challenge for me as the competition is made up of four different events, reining, obstacle, cutting and reined cowhorse. And I've never done anything to do with cattle, neither has Nuggie. 2025 will be a huge year of firsts for us, one that I am sure will have it's up and downs as I push both of us out of our comfort zone.

Ellecia Conti-Nibali

Hey everyone!

My name is Ellecia. I come from a big family with 8 siblings growing up on my parent's goat hobby farm 30min south of Perth! I started riding at 9yo and always dreamed about being a part of rodeos/ jackpots one day.

Well for the last 1.5 years I have been taking barrel racing seriously with my beautiful little grey named Tilly who I’ve owned for 9 years. Since starting my barrel racing career, Tilly and I have had many personal accomplishments during that time which includes competing in rodeos and many jackpots scoring 3D/4D times. She also won me my first ever buckle for Apex barrel racing 2024 1st in 4D along side “most improved open rider”! ❤️

I have my amazing partner, Jacob, who has just started getting into training for roping on his horse. He has been so supportive of me from the beginning of my barrel racing career ❤️ As of Nov 24 we bought our first house & acreage! So now we will be training harder to work towards our goals for rodeos/ jackpots.

I am so excited to have this amazing opportunity to be a part of Double R Western Co. I look forward to the road ahead, showing off their gorgeous products and meeting more amazing people 💕
