Ambassador Spotlight: Meet Taylor Haddleton
Hello, everyone!
I’m Taylor Haddleton, and I’m thrilled to share a bit about my journey with you. I live in the picturesque town of Albany, Western Australia, where I’ve just wrapped up Year 11 and am gearing up to tackle Year 12. Alongside my studies, I'm completing a Certificate IV in Preparation for Nursing, with aspirations to join the Navy after I finish school.
When I’m not hitting the books, you can find me competing in the Apex Barrel Series with my horse, Saff, and a borrowed horse named Spirit. Recently, I concluded the 2024 rodeo season at the Last Rodeo in Brunswick, and what an incredible experience it has been! Each competition is not just a test of skill but also a celebration of the sport and the community that surrounds it.
One of the things I love most about barrel racing is witnessing the enthusiasm of newcomers. It’s truly inspiring to see fresh faces eager to give it a go, and I believe it’s essential to support and encourage them. Every rider, no matter their level, contributes to the growth of our sport. By fostering a welcoming environment, we can help others feel at home in the barrel racing community.
As I prepare for my final year of high school, I’m excited about the future—both in my education and my riding career. Balancing my studies with my passion for barrel racing can be challenging, but it’s a rewarding journey that teaches me valuable lessons about determination and perseverance.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me! I’m excited to share more of my adventures as I continue on this journey. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just starting out, let’s support each other and keep the spirit of barrel racing alive!
